Marty Turco and Fernando Pisani were veterans who were brought in on the cheap who failed to live up to expections.
Turco eventually lost his job to Crawford and Pisani never really found his spot with the team. Turco, 35, could still be a starter in this league but might have to accept a backup job while Pisani, 34, could be a cheap winger on a third or fourth line.
With the Hawks locking up Crawford and Salak it looks like the door is not open for Turco's return unless he comes very cheap. With Pisani the club will replace him with a young talented forward.
