UFC 146 is finally among us and with it, the heaviest MMA pay-per-view card ever presented by the world’s leading MMA promotion. The Ultimate Fighting Championship has gone out of its way to keep this card together as injuries and drama threatened to topple the goal of an all-heavyweights main card.
The Deadline Press is a series of articles at The MMA Truth just hours before every UFC pay-per-view card. The goal is to capture any last-minute opinions after weigh-ins and pre-fight pressers. Enjoy!
Reigning heavyweight champ, Junior “Cigano” Dos Santos, defends his belt for the first time and it couldn’t be against a more dangerous opponent, former UFC heavyweight champ, Fran Mir. Another former divisional champ takes part as one half of the co-main event. Cain Velasquez welcomes Antonio Silva to the UFC rodeo and looks to regain momentum after Dos Santos took his belt—and his undefeated status—in the first ever UFC on FOX card.
