The “I’m PISSED” post – Steelers lose to Pats.

And not just lose, but get spanked.

Embarrass me even.

Worst part of it all…I HATE Tom Brady. I know, you should never hate anyone.  But dammit Steelers, if there’s anyone I want you to beat it’s the Patriots.  In the words of my mother, “That butt whooping hurt me more than it hurt you.”

I wanted to write this post yesterday, I really did, but the wounds were still so raw I just couldn’t get over it.  Granted that butt whooping Michael Vick handed to the Redskins made me feel slightly better.  At least Redskins fans (and Ravens too) were in their own state of depression I didn’t have to deal with them gloating.

The good news, it’s still anyone’s NFL. There is no true front runner in either conference. And while the Steelers fell in the power rankings, they are still tied at #1 in the AFC North.  Anything can happen.

But that doesn’t mean I am still not pissed about Sunday. Believe me, I am.

I just don’t get how that super model loving Bieberady dude has our number like that.  It’s annoying.  I had flashbacks to games I would like to forget.  When he spiked the ball in the endzone, I wanted to kick him in the throat.  Anyone else have that reaction?

I don’t know what it is about the Pats…I can’t stand them.  We lose to the Ravens, it stings, we lose to the Pats and 2 days later I am writing this post STILL PISSED!

This was supposed to be a factual, cover gaps, get some energy, don’t play predictable offense, man we miss Aaron Smith, Will Gay has one more time to have his back to the QB and get beat and farewell Skippy post. Instead, it’s an emotional rant.  When will I no longer be PISSED?

Maybe if we beat the Raiders.

Then the Bills.

And then the Ravens.

I might feel a little bit better at that point.

But until then, I am PISSED!

Who else has this somewhat irrational reaction to Mr. Brady? Cure me, please.  All I know is IF we see them again, we BETTER BEAT the crap out of them!

I’m with ya girlie!!! He makes my skin crawl! I think the problem is that he is so arrogant! I was totally dumbfounded by our teams performance. One of those games where it looked like they didn’t give a sh@t!

There are plenty of people who have this hate for Brady, though I’m not one of them. Yet, I get it considering how previous games have gone.

This game made me scratch my head. Not only did they get beasted upn by a TE, but what happened to stopping the run?

I’m PISSED TOO!!!!!!!!

Great blog. Well, the team has a lot of issues. I can see a few of them contributing to the loss:

1. Aging defense and suspect secondary. Aaron Smith is out. Hampton and Keisel etc are not spring chickens. Keisel is hurt. Smith is hurt with a season ending injury it seems, every other year. He is up there in years and is starting to become injury prone. I don’t know if Ziggy Hood is a bust or not. Harrison is still good. However, William Gay and McFadden got to GO. Ike Taylor is equally useless. I don’t know what the deal is with Troy. Does he know how to tackle, or does all he know how to do is launch himself into the ball carrier ala Bob Sanders of the Colts? Steelers got run on by a Ben Jarvis Green Ellis….Imagine if Fred Taylor were healthy. I am afraid it would have been worse the way the Steeler D was playing. Brady picked our secondary apart. He was kicking our asses and let’s face it, he had every right to celebrate. Be grateful it wasn’t P. Manning or Mike Vick. May have been worse.

2. Offense issues.

Ben has to get that ball out quicker. I love the sandlot style but man, he had to do what well, Brady, P. Manning, Rivers, Brees, E. Manning, etc, etc, do….take what the defense gives him. He has to develop a clock in his head. I have been saying this about Ben for YEARS. I am not the ONLY Steeler fan saying this. Even the coaches have said it. I have even heard TOMLIN say it. Even when he was being sacked he kept trying to throw the ball..that is dangerous…could have lost the ball. Alot of this could be corrected by coaching, IMO. The offense line has injuries of course, but they also need to do something about it as well.

Coaching:
They got to get rid of Arians. They need a new offensive coordinator. The guy just will not run the ball and when he does, he doesn’t have the patience to stick with it and then starts throwing. They have to develop plays that get the offense going quicker. Sure, we got the offense going late, but it was , well, too late. I love Dick Lebeau, but I am starting to wonder if he should retire.

Ok, I think I have written enough. LOL

Good job. I really enjoy your blog

Agreed. Every time we play them, it goes the same way. Surely someone can come up with a defensive game plan for their stupid dink-dunk offense?

I completely agree with you, Steelergurl. Brady is so arrogant he makes me sick. To think that the Patriots cheated us out of two more possible Super Bowls also adds to the hatred. It will take some time to get over this one.

I took that spike in the endzone personally. Remember a couple of years back when the Titans stomped all over the Terrible Towel on the sidelines? THAT’S exactly how I felt when Brady spiked the ball! I know it’s wrong to wish harm on someone but at that point, I hoped and prayed that Troy was gonna blitz his ass from the blind side and put him out for the rest of the game! All I know is, the boys better take this game personally. I hope they watch that spike over and over and over again and again until it eats away at them. That way, when they meet in the post season (and I truly believe they will), it’ll be a different story. They’ll face a different Steelers team next time! I agree with Terri except for the part about Dick Lebeau. We all know he’s been in football since Lincoln was assassinated but he’s on top of his game. They can’t all be gems. I think once he consistently makes mistakes, then it’s time to retire. To me, he hasn’t shown signs of slowing down yet. I have screamed about Mc Fadden, Gay and Taylor for years! I dont know why they insist on keeping them.

I hear ya girl! I feel the exact same way! I just want to reach through my TV and slap that pretty boy cry baby in the face! He gets under my skin like no other player EVER! Our offense is just completely predictable but so was theirs. There is absolutely no excuse for that pitiful performance. I want nothing more than for that cheating SOB to get creamed into mush on that field and for James Harrison to do it and then write a check to Goodell right there on the sideline. And the way he praised Ben in the pregame interview just made me sick because you know darn well he didn’t mean a word of it. You could almost see him choking on his words. I have actually been losing sleep. What makes matters even worse in my house is that my hubby lived in Rhode Island for several years so all his “friends” from up there are going to be as obnoxious as their god until we beat him into the ground in the Championship game.

Troy Polamalu’s Hair > Justin Bieber’s Hair > Tom Brady’s Hair

That one hurt my gut for sure…we KNOW we can beat these guys and do it in playoffs. The big stage made it hurt even worse. Hopefully we’ll meet them again in the post season and whip that friggin hair!!

Some folk need to realize that the foiled 15-1 season of 2004 will need a payback and I’m not sure if the Pats winning streak of 22 that the Steelers snapped in late October of 2004 got them really motivated to beat our guys in the Conf Championship but this latest slap in the face is just the TONIC to spoil their season as the immaculate Payback. I’ve cooled my anger since that humiliating loss but it’s almost impossible to forget. The Pats have plenty reason to hammer teams since their almost perfect season but I seriously believe their D is much their achilles heel moreso than the Steelers Pass D is. Staying Healthy is the prime key.
