The NFL Network’s The Top 100: NFL’s Greatest Players debuts tomorrow night (Sep 3) at 10pm. I have it on record that there are just 5 Steelers included in the list – I guessed Terry Bradshaw and Mean Joe Greene which were confirmed, but they wouldn’t tell me the other three….so, who do you think are in the top 100?
The question of “Who is the greatest player in NFL history?” is something we debate all the time – especially when it comes to QBs, of which, I am a little partial despite the off field behavior. The NFL Network series, rolling out during 10 one-hour episodes this fall, reveals the greatest players of all-time, counting down from 100 to 1, as determined by a special blue-ribbon panel of knowledgeable football minds. I was not included on that panel, though I don’t understand why not!!!
The Top 100 players not only contributed to the lasting legacy of the game, but have also shaped the lives of football fans from a variety of backgrounds, age groups and eras through memories and “remember when” moments. My special moments all include time with my father. Doesn’t get much better than that.
After tomorrow’s debut, Episode #2 of The Top 100 premieres at a special date and time of Tuesday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET during Kickoff week before falling into its regular slot of Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET starting September 16.
But tell me, which Steelers deserve to be on the list….
If you get them right (3 of them), you win a special Steelers prize.

There has to be more than 5 Steelers. Bradshaw, Greene, Lambert, Ham, Stautner, Blount & Woodson have to be locks….that is 7 right there without evening mentioning Swann, Stallworth, Franco, Webster, Faneca & Polamalu which should be considered. They already put Michael Irvin in the top 100…is there anybody who really thinks he was better than Swann or Stallworth ?
Told you, you were wrong…..already 5 Steelers in first 60 players, and Lambert & Greene still to come…that is at least 7……get some new sources honey !
lol I took their word for it – their being the NFL! OK OK OK! You win!
