After many years of waiting, Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. And not for his spectacular work for the Steelers, nor his perfection of the zone blitz - LeBeau will be honored for his outstanding career as a DB with the Detroit Lions from 1959-1972. During that time, LeBeau had 62 interceptions and started 171 consecutive games.
Today, the Steelers will get on a bus in Latrobe and ride to Canton to see their beloved coach receive the honor – something many of the players have lobbied for over the last decade. It’s his time. LeBeau deserves it.
Congratulations Coach LeBeau – Steeler Nation loves you.
