I would say “tackles like a girl” but that’s actually being generous and I don’t want to disrespect the women out there. I can promise I am a girl, but I can tackle better than that showing we saw on Sunday from Mr. Reed. I would have at least made a good attempt at pushing that dude out of bounds and saving from the immediate 6. In fact, the Bengals probably would have been limited to at the most 3 points due to the outstanding job the Steelers defense was doing.
Special teams is well….just special.
Overall, on kick returns, the Steelers have 35 returns for a total of 864 yards with an average return of 24.7 yards. But the opponents have 42 returns for a total of 1088 yards and an average return of 25.9 yards. Oh and the longest return against the Steelers is 98 yards…and 3 TDs. The Steelers longest return is 56 yards and zilch, nada, NONE on the TDs.
I keep waiting on Logan to take off like I saw him do at training camp this summer….I’m not holding my breath on that, however.
Somehow, someone has got to make a tackle when we’re kicking off. I do hold my breath every kick-off because you just never know what’s going to happen. This is not good for my stress level by the way. I’m still waiting to hear back on whether or not the Rooney’s are picking up health care for Steeler Nation, these games are stressful! I was absolutely sick after the Bengals game, I couldn’t watch football the rest of the day. That’s a tragedy. My Sunday is always filled with football.
I feel like I should offer up my inner linebacker for service. Do I need to come and play on special teams? I mean, I can certainly do something more than Skippy.
And hey Skippy, take a lesson from your boy Sepulveda, he knows how to hit (see video below). Maybe Hines can give you a lesson or two as well?
