The Steelers play the Browns, it’s week six, Troy’s back, Rashard is going to start and Ziggy will be rotating in to cover for Aaron Smith who is now on IR. Â I’d like to write a post where I am 100% confident that the Steelers will win, without a doubt. Â I think Troy being back will be good. Â Though I would like him not to play til we really need him, he probably needs to get out there and play, knock the 5 weeks worth of cobwebs off his game.
The Steelers need better confidence, in my opinion. Â Or maybe it’s us fans who need confidence in the Steelers game. Â Either way, I need to see a ridiculous, kick the crap out of the Browns type of game. Â (Sorry to my friends who are Browns fans) The Browns ran all over the Houston, but I don’t see that happening with the Steelers. Â Or at least, our defense better not let them run all over them. Â I never thought I would say Steelers defense seems to be the weakest link in the chain, but I am.
The Browns tend to send corners up to the line of scrimmage, not unlike what the Steelers did last week against Detroit (Will Gay had 1.5 sacks in that game) but that should allow Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace to get separation and Ben will surely connect with one of them….if he stays on his feet, which is likely.
I don’t want to imply this should be an easy game, but what I want to see is 60 minutes of Steelers A-game. Â I’m not sure we’ve seen that yet. Â It’s more like 4o minutes of A-game and then 10 minutes of letting the other team get back in the game and 5 minutes of hustle and “sometimes” that results in a win. Â I’d rather see this game get put away quickly and early and then hold that spot.
C’mon Steelers it’s Week six. Â Let’s get it together. Â Beat the crap (literally) out of the Browns. Â Today.
PS – if you do, get ready to answer to why you need a player like Troy so badly. Â Because those questions will surely come. Â Bring it, please.
