Kickers and Punters can help win or lose a game

Jeff Reed has won Pittsburgh plenty of games.  I’m a huge fan.  Getting in field goal range is pretty much a guaranteed 3 when you’ve got Reed…he averages 94.7 pecent this year and his long is 53 yds. 

But punters….ugh.  After Sepulveda got hurt , punting hasn’t been great…

But today, the Steelers signed Mitch Berger who averaged 40.7 yards over 20 punts with the Cardinals last year.  And, unfortunately for Ernster, he was released…but he was averaging just 31.6 yards over 3 kicks for the Steelers.  That’s giving away good field position.  We can’t do that.  Gotta make the other team work for yardage….and hopdfully do NOTHING with it!

On another note, I would be remiss if I didn’t report out that Holmes’ court date has been scheduled for late February.  Well after the season ends. 

Santonio, I would prefer you not do it, but if you really gotta do it, can you keep it to the off-season??  We need you!
