The 2009 Steelers Schedule

When looking at the 2009 schedule, one things crosses my mind. I’m going to have to cash in and get the NFL Ticket. With this many 1:00pm games, and living in the Ravens/Redskins corridor, I won’t see any Steelers games, except those against Baltimore. One of which is prime time – go figure.

The schedule, at first glance, looks pretty good. Potential tough games come from Tennessee, San Diego and of course, Baltimore.  But overall, a schedule that looks good. Better than last year.  But, as a true Steelers fan, I never discount the opponent – for example, I do remember the score to the Jets game in 2007.  We weren’t on top, and the Jets were one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Regardless of all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the release of the schedule, I am glad it’s all public knowledge so that now I can plan my fall vacation days around schedules.  I will be attending a few of these games. That is definitely my game plan.

What’s yours?   Who will be representing Steeler Nation across the country for the games?   Let me know your gameplan.

Now you know this will change. Watch how fast they switch your 1pm games to 4pm games LOL. And when they do, they always play in the B-more/DC market. Just get DirecTV and you can see any game you like

My only issue is switching from FIOS. It’s all such a hassle. That’s all. We’ll see….

Could always just start diggin on Baltimore?
Why waste your money on te NFL ticket when you are here and will get all the games free!

No doubt, plenty of your games are going to be moved. You are the defending champ! whatever.

lol…on switching team alliances – I think that may force my father into heart attack lol. My brother isn’t nearly into football like I am – my dad wouldn’t have anyone to talk to!! (My brother’s a social fan, not an analytic hard-core fan!!

Well, we’ll see what happens. I might just go to PA on Saturdays in the fall and come back late Sun nights. If the games are at 1pm, that’s doable…we’ll see.

@thenflchick, I think we saw a lot of Steelers games over the last two years because of who they played. But I don’t think anyone will give a hot damn about Detroit, Oakland, Kansas City etc. I think I would lose it if I didn’t see games. The only ones I have missed in the last few years were the games against Cleveland. And I didn’t care too much…

I hate that I just can’t even stream it online. NFL needs to loosen the directTV chains…but then again, they did pay some obnoxious amt like 4 billion to keep it.

Why do the defending champs have only one Monday Night game all year & it’s on the ROAD?

*sigh*

I live in Northern Virginia and I did get a lot of the games last year on fios. But this year I am not sure. So I have this thing I purchase called slingbox that I can hook up to my laptop. I hook up the laptop to my tv through an HDMI cable and watch the games on HD. Now the slingbox I can put it on my mom and dads tv box back home in Pa. or a friendly neighbor who has directv. It doesn’t cost to watch it. Just a thought. I tailgate in my garage with it. I can’t wait for the season to start.
