Lights out

OK, Ravens fans – what’s the deal with the no night time games in Pittsburgh?

Those are the most coveted (and watched) prime time slots….so, it’s not really about the lights? It’s about playing in Pittsburgh under the lights?  I don’t really care where we play, or when – you know it will be good…BUT, don’t we (as fans) want our teams rivalry to be like none other?  I’d love to have that rivalry played during one of the prime time night games.

So what gives?  All my Ravens readers give it up…what’s the real deal?

I don’t know why and I don’t like the Ravens doing this. I am going to do a post tipping my Ravens fans to you to stir up some comments here, hopefully.

This really bothers me! I want to play the Steelers at night!
    Bring it.

Everytime we go to Pitt. it’s prime-time at night.
It does go against the mentality of anytime, any place any where.
(Me and MDbirdlover- my wife) want the Steelers to come here for a change.

Maybe the team is tired of being the Steelers’ victim in prime-time. Then again, maybe the Ravens would like a prime-time game at M&T against the Steelers. I can’t find any story to get any reasoning from the team, but I certainly heard about it.

Like you say, it doesn’t matter when or where they play, it will be 60 minutes of hard-core, brutal football.

I really don’t care if it’s Bmore or in Pgh. I hear ya..is there a difference in crowd size fm M&T to Heinz? Only rational I can think of that it’s always in Pitt.
Too bad thats not how the news framed it – would have gone over better….
Also could have made Steelers look like the pansies instead of the other way around.
Guess we’ll see how it works itself out.

I’m just looking forward to the game. Already. Yes, and it’s only March.

How did the news frame it? The Ravens site has nothing on it.
I have seen nothing on this- although, I have been quite busy lately.
Only briefly heard it mentioned on talk radio.

There was an article in the Baltimore Sun, let me see if I can find it. I posted it on my FB page, so let’s see if I can dig out the link :)

Basically we haven’t had a home game against you guys in Prime Time since 2003, if I can remember correctly. I honestly have no issue with it. Also, everyone was looking for the Balti-Pitt game to be the Thursday night game. I like it much better when the we play you guys within weeks 3-5 then play you at the end of the season.

To be honest, I think the Tenn-Pitt is MUCH more intriguing, because of the “terrible towel” stomping the Titans did, and all the trash they talked afterward. The Steelers are the champs now and the Titans were sitting at home. The irony of it makes great TV IMO.

I think teams do this all the time. I don’t like the fact that it became public at all. I would only think it’s cowardly if we played you guys on Prime Time more recent. The Ravens just wanted a fair shot. They aren’t asking to forfeit the two games LOL
